A Customer’s Experience with Delayed-Release Capsules
“I would highly recommend this company and their delayed-release capsules. I use long-term medication that affects my stomach, and I have found my symptoms much improved. The staff have always been friendly and helpful when processing orders.”
This is a customer’s personal experience, not evidence that DRcaps® treat stomach symptoms or make a particular medicine safer.
What Does “Delayed Release” Mean?
DRcaps® are HPMC capsule shells designed to delay opening compared with standard immediate-release hard capsules. The actual release behaviour of a filled capsule can depend on the formulation and conditions of use.
Using Empty Capsules with Medication
If you are considering placing medication inside another capsule because of taste, swallowing difficulty or stomach discomfort, first ask a pharmacist or doctor. Some medicines must be taken exactly as supplied and should not be opened, crushed, divided or re-encapsulated.
Choosing the Correct Empty Capsule Size
For dry supplements and other compatible fills, the correct capsule size depends on the volume and density of the material. If you are comparing size 000, 00, 0, 1, 2 or smaller capsules, use our empty capsule size guide to compare dimensions and approximate capacities.
